A question for @Jeannie Di Bon and everyone else - I’m autistic and my interoception is pretty abstract. Sometimes I’ll do a class and the next day feel like I’ve unlocked a new range of movement that comes with what feels like pinched/ignored nerves waking up in areas that have been “stuck” and an understanding of how to move the area to unstick it. Really feels good to stretch all the way through my new bigger ROM but I do also think it could be classified as pain? Very intense sensation. I sometimes experience pain as other senses, so I don’t trust that I’d know if my body were telling me to stop. Any advice for understanding what movements are helping or hurting in a way other than pain-based? Should I be avoiding extreme sensation?
