Has anyone had any luck with ordering genetic tests online? It’s looking like the one place in my state that does genetic evals for adults is going to reject me again (had to appeal the first rejection with paperwork about my dad/his family’s heart/neck/spine/joint problems but my rheumatologist is not optimistic). I’ve seen a few places that do whole genome sequencing and test for rare genetic disorders including EDS variants (pretty expensive unfortunately) but since it’s a test given through the mail, I’m worried these won’t be as effective/sensitive as advertised. Mainly I really want to be sure of whether or not I have a more severe form of EDS given family history, and I don’t know where else to turn for genetic counseling if I get rejected again. Any ideas or suggestions would be appreciated!
