Hello Everyone , I have known since I was 16 that I had hypermobility ( which is when my pain started) and also found out then that other family members had it. But back then it was just called “double jointed” 🤷🏻♀️ It wasn’t until Feb 2020 that a Chiro diagnosed me with generalized hypermobility as I went to him thinking my Lupus diagnoses wasn’t correct. Long story short - I don’t have Lupus , I do have hEDS and did receive a formal clinical diagnoses at age 42!!! That’s a lot of years to live in pain ; and I am so blessed to have found Jeannie and this group! My main question is what does everyone find to be the most helpful ( aside from a good mattress and supportive pillows as I have spent $$ on both ) for preventing feeling like EVERYTHING hurts as soon as you wake up??? I know micro tears and such are likely the culprit but some mornings ( mostly now that it’s winter here in Atlantic Canada ) I wake feeling like my chest is crushed, my heart pounds, my legs are just shaking , my arms and hands etc etc. Thank you SO much for this group Jeannie. And I LOVE the app!!! It’s so user friendly and accessible.
