I have been told I have a bit of a niche problem and I wanted to find out if anyone else has the same experience as me. I only found out about poor proprioception through one of Jeannie’s classes and I wondered if it can explain why I find it very difficult to drive. I only have access to a big car and I have absolutely no idea if I’m in the middle of my lane or not. Very often I feel like I’m going to hit a car on the side because I feel like my car is taking up the whole lane so I swerve and scrape the kerb instead. People told me it would get better when I get used to the car but it doesn’t for me. I just don’t seem to have adequate spatial awareness and have no idea how to recognise the space that I am in. I think I have always had this problem but I learnt in smaller cars so it was never really highlighted as a problem until now. Occasionally I will also walk into corners/walls because I misjudge the space around me. If anyone has any insight, help or similar experience to this, please let me know! Many thanks!
