“Go slow and low”. Hmm… I have maintained a relatively consistent level of activity for a while now — an average of 6,000 steps a day and what I thought was a generally safe range of motion… Well, this first week with the Zebra club has been interesting. I have gone through the Foundations and done 2 or three gentle sessions a day, which feel wonderful. However, yesterday I had what I guess could be called a “flare day”. I felt like I was flushing toxins - pain, fatigue, emotional ups and downs, nausea, vertigo, etc. I used to feel this way most of the time, but it’s rare now, thankfully. So, question… even with the most gentle of movements, like with the Pelvis and Shoulder intros, is it common to have a release of toxins stored in stagnant tissues? Or could this be an MCAS reaction? I’m not aware of anything new that I ate, but we have pretty heavy smoke in our area from forest fires. Any input is appreciated. #flare Update: I just remembered that I ran out of the #quercetin and #bromelaine supplement that I normally take to quell histamine and inflammation. This may also be a factor…
