I am curious to know if any other Zebras experienced Croup in childhood. I had recurring Croup and have only just come across research material linking it to EDS, or finding a high prevalence within the dazzle (cohort 😉). It’s come up as I discover how much deep bracing I have in my mid thorax and I realise I have been bracing partly because breathing was/is painful - I wonder if because of all the coughing. Croup has also been identified as an early indication of the Omicron strain of Covid-19 in children. Adding to that the fact that current research is showing that “long covid” is a very much a mast cell activation disorder, and that I have had MCAS indicators since I was young, it makes me wonder if my Croup was a symptom of a viral something that was perhaps the source trigger. That’s all very speculative 🧐 🤔 Mostly I’m wondering if others also had Croup in childhood. 🙏🏼
