I’ve been down for 5 days with a bad flu… but, despite having to take some acetaminophen for the flu pain a few days, coughing a ton, and either laying down or reclined for 98% of the time, my body feels much better than it has ever felt when I’m this sick. I’m amazed. I have done the most gentle movement every day, even if it’s just pelvic tilts and thoracic openers in bed, or a short class. Just did the Non-weight-bearing class under Programs -> POTS & Flares and it felt wonderful. Back in bed, but it feels like I’m on the upside. Like many of you, I’m sure, any illness that limits my mobility usually causes way more pain the day(s) afterward. I CAN feel myself lose muscle strength, but feel better equipped to gently add in more as I’m able each day. This is a HUGE win for me, despite having to miss two important meetings this weekend. I worked through all the connected feelings with AFT techniques and now feel free to keep resting and allowing my body to recover. May you all stay as safe and well as you can.
