Good morning from Michigan!! I’ve been doing a lot of soul searching, body work and wanted to ask this amazing group. I’ve been diagnosed with EDS, scored 9/9 on the beighton scale woo hoo 100% 🤣. I’ve been doing exercises slow and steady but I have so much PAIN and my body always feels on. I know my body is not in alignment as I bend and sit in my chair all day. I was also born with dislocated hips and had corrective bars as a child that over corrected my issue. I guess my question is, is the goal to help our body feel safe as it hits up against nerves, muscles, bones, the spine, etc so that we can live ultimately in a body that feels “safe” and can relax, even when it’s not in alignment? I keep wanting to “change” the body and maybe that’s where I keep getting stuck in the pain cycle. Is it ultimately accepting my bendy body as it is and helping the nervous system understand we are safe so it can stop being afraid? Sorry this is so long just keep going through this loop. Thank you in advance and much love to you all ❤️🙏
