Jeannie’s wisdom and classes on the zebra club helped me to realise that I spend much of my day bracing parts of my body, particularly my lower back and pelvis. I understand why I am bracing but I have noticed that as I consciously release the tension in my back, trying to make the pelvis heavy in any position, I have an INTENSE crushing pain in my lower spine, which makes the releasing really quite frightening. If/when I do get it to relax the crushing pain dissolves. But then a second later I am bracing again and the crushing pain is every single time I stop bracing. What the herd of freakin’ zebras is going on here?!!?
