Whenever i sit on the floor with legs out in front of me and knees slightly bent, like in the rowing exercise or seated forward bend, I feel like my hip flexors have to work hard in an uncomfortable way. I’ve tried sitting up on a cushion and this helps a little, or resting the balls of my feet on a cushion in front of me so I don’t have to work to hold my feet up. Does this suggest my hip flexors are really weak or what? I don’t like doing these exercises and I want to understand why so I can improve at doing them. I have similar issues while sitting on a chair and driving so this clearly translates to functional activities.
