#thumb arthritis - If anyone has had surgery for osteoarthritis of hypermobile thumb & wrist, what was it and how did it go? I had xrays recently and both my thumbs are well on the way to total decrepitude. Research says EDS do well with this particular surgery (unlike some) and if so I’m wondering if there’s an advantage to just getting it done as opposed to being in pain an extra decade or two, delaying it as a last resort. Right now I’ll have bad weeks/months but still relatively pain free often enough not to need drastic action… yet. But that pattern won’t last much longer.
