I joined a singing group. I went yesterday for the second weekly meeting, even though I was achey and tired, because it’s SO therapeutic. I’ve hardly left the house for any social activities over the past couple years so this is huge. Singing stimulates the vagus nerve and parasympathetic nervous system, opens the airway, strengthens the diaphragm, and provides human connection and joy. I highly recommend joining a local chorus, choir, shapenote group, a capella group, or whatever you can find even if you don’t think of yourself as a singer.
