For those of you with hEDS/HSD but withOUT autoimmune issues, could you describe what you mean by a “flare?” With autoimmune, it’s the immune system revving up. But with generally screwed-up connective tissue alone, what causes a flare? I don’t mean something brought on by injury, but seemingly out-of-nowhere ache all over/fatigue, etc. What is the physiologic basis? Mast cell freakout? Fighting a virus? I’d love to know what others have read/heard from the experts, as I haven’t yet found a good explanation. Thanks!
