Hi Everyone - one of Jeannie's exercises that has been a massive revelation for me is standing inside the pilates ring in the isometric class. I have suddenly realised that with a slight outward spiralling of the legs, the outer muscles are switched on, there is less pressure on SI joint and a more stable foundation means less bracing with my ribs. I am consciously trying to do this gentle spiralling of the legs in standing but am pretty sure am reverting to my old ways when walking. Can anyone advise on how to incorporate the spiralling into walking or does doing it in standing switch on the muscles so that in time it happens naturally when on the move? Thank you
