I need advice on my ribs!! They always hurt and sublux in both the front and the back, and I think I've made it worse by squeezing/forcing too much during the transverse abdominis exercises my PT gave me. She is currently trying to have me practice breathing into my back and sides (and on having my ribcage move more from side to side rather than having my stomach go up and down), but no matter what I do and no matter how much I try to relax, I can't seem to do it. It feels like my ribcage is basically a solid block of concrete (and all my surrounding muscles are as hard and unyielding as my ribs and vertebrae). What should I do to make this better? Should I start with the videos on relaxation and releasing guarding? Thanks!
