#biofeedback #functional tension Hi everyone, I started biofeedback a few months back. When I started, she said my heart rate variability was already at goal (thanks to meditation). Temp was low, but rose as outside air temps rose. We were tracking tension in my uppper traps. After about 4 sessions, today I brought my mat in to lay down for the practice (other sessions were seated or standing), and my physical therapist was able to see that the tension was lower while supine. This helped confirm her theory that the tension is likely adaptive to support the shoulder. This explanation helped me on my journey with acceptance. Thought it may be helpful to share.
