Someone recently mentioned the topic of proprioception, and it reminded me: I did some exercises to actually find my sitz bones this week, sitting atop a foam roller. Can I just say, that I had a complete misunderstanding of where they were?! Complied with teaching tai chi, which reinforces the idea of rounding under the pelvis to balance it (it's not a wrong principle, just typically explained with misleading imagery), and forcing what I thought was the correct posture... no wonder my entire spine and core are stressed out! Isn't it great that we can always learn more about how we can heal ourselves??
